What is the ATI TEAS Exam?

The ATI TEAS Exam, developed by Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI), is a standardized test designed to assess students' preparedness for entry into various health science fields. Many healthcare programs and nursing schools utilize the ATI TEAS Exam as a prerequisite for admitting students into their programs. Candidates have the opportunity to take the ATI TEAS Exam up to two times a year, with a minimum of 14 days required between attempts. However, it's important to note that each attempt incurs a registration fee.

The main aim of the ATI TEAS exam is to find out if candidates have the essential knowledge and skills to do well in health science fields.

The ATI TEAS test consists of 170 multiple-choice questions, each with four possible answers. Examinees have a total of 209 minutes to complete the exam. There are 4 different sections to the ATI TEAS exam, the table below shows the breakdown into different sections:

Different nursing schools or health programs have their own passing score for the ATI TEAS test. Typically, scoring around 70-75% is seen as good, but it varies depending on the program. Check with the school you're applying to for their specific score requirement.
